Case 1
Case 1 – Comprehensive deep plane face/neck lift (no eyelid surgery)
Not all facelifts involve laxity in the skin or deeper layers. However, for this patient, there were classic laxity indications as well as loss of definition in the face and neck. We addressed these concerns by lifting and tightening the deeper layers of the face to restore a youthful triangular neck and define the jawline.

Case 2 – Closed submental recontouring
This patient desired a more slender appearance to her neck but wanted to avoid facelift scars. Submental recontouring helped us do just that by placing a scar in the crease under the chin. There are different members of the ‘family’ of these procedures, tightening each layer as required to lift, shape, and define the neck and under the chin, ensuring natural-looking results tailored to individual needs.

Case 3 – Comprehensive deep plane face/neck lift and lower blepharoplasty
In this case, a comprehensive deep plane face/neck lift was used to restore shape, volume, and definition by treating laxity in the ‘deep plane’ of the face and the skin and reshaping the facial fat. The result here was a triangular’, feminine neck and improved definition under the chin and jawline. In addition, a lower blepharoplasty harmonised the eyelid and cheek with the facelift to reflect natural light and banish the shadows with natural contours and hidden scars.

Case 4 – The “Y-Light lift” – lower eyelid and cheek
The area where the eyelid and cheek meet is important when it comes to signs of ageing, and that’s why I developed the Y-Light lift. Repositioning the fat pads and reshaping the cheeks restores a youthful appearance, banishing shadows and enhancing natural contours. Hooding is the resting of the excess skin and muscle that falls upon the eyelash line in a neutral, open gaze. Where the skin muscle excess is significant, the scars extend beyond the corner of the eye, but with expert planning, they can be beautifully hidden within the character lines of the smile. True hooding occurs when the excess of skin muscle folds in the upper eyelid drop across the eyelash line and this usually begins in the outer third of the upper eyelid. This obstructs vision and creates premature fatigue at the end of the day. Case 15 – Upper blepharoplasty and the “Y-Light” lift
A combination of upper-lower blepharoplasty and the “Y-Light lift” is such a powerful technique. Our patients report high levels of satisfaction in terms of both comfort and appearance. Here, we see the upper eyelid shelf show youthfully defined. In the lower eyelid and cheek, the “ski-slope” of light and shadow has been effaced by the surgery to provide a uniform contour between the lower eyelid and the cheek for a uniform reflection of light. Browlift
Case 1 – Browlift, no blepharoplasty
This procedure elevated the hairline eyebrow and rejuvenated the upper face, reducing tension and improving comfort for this patient. With discreet scars hidden behind the hairline, it opened up her upper visual field, bringing more light into the eyes and boosting confidence in her appearance. As with so many of these types of procedures, there is a “family” of associated browlift procedures in different layers of the forehead and brow, which can powerfully “shape” the eyebrows to provide symptomatic benefits as well as boost confidence.
Rhinoplasty
Case 1
Case 1 – Functional rhinoplasty to improve function and confidence in appearance
This patient had facial asymmetry, with a gentle twist to the face and no centre line for the rhinoplasty. The ‘before’ shows a boxy asymmetrical tip and a collapsed left sidewall, which was causing breathing obstruction. Reshaping the nasal pyramid and improving symmetry relieved symptoms and helped us achieve greater nasal balance, resulting in a more confident, harmonious look.

This case was focused on removing the dorsal hump and balancing the nasal bridge and tip. “Mr Britto, can you lift the nipple on the breast and give me a ‘happier’ shape?” “Yes, we can!” This mastopexy reshapes the ‘bottomed out’ ‘before’ breast, where the nipple points down to the ‘happy’ and youthful ‘after’ breast, where the youthful nipple/areolar complex faces forward and up, with a regular round shape and soft, supple, stable, and slim scars.

If the aim is to restore the ’slack’ breast, post breastfeeding, the solution must include breast augmentation to reconstruct the lost volume of the involuted breast. The implant restores upper pole fullness, nipple projection, proportion and the very personal sensibilities of femininity. The scars are well hidden and become less visible over time. The implant placement above the muscle reduces the unnatural look that sometimes arises with placement under the muscle – where the implant and muscle move one way and the breast the other!
