I am as excited today about the developments in health and beauty, and where they cross – over, as I was at the beginning. I have seen great changes for both men and women in the maintenance of skin health – and our patients and clients really enjoy the benefits that they see. Whilst there is inevitably fad and fashion, there has also been a bedrock of positive quality change for our patients – and they love it as much as we do!

Ms Karen Sargeant, Principal Aesthetician

Karen leads our mentored programs in skin health at the Jonathan Britto Clinic where she consults with Jonathan to provide a multidisciplinary approach. Karen is the author of our bespoke skin health programmes which can be both independent to, or dovetail with, a surgical procedure to treat the “skin envelope” for comprehensive, natural, results.

Karen’s expertise combines the principles of a natural triad of sun protection, environmental protection, and the manipulation of the skin physiology pathways of vitamin C, and vitamin A metabolism. Her knowledge of beauty, surgery, and a meticulous attention to skin health and skin care combine at the Jonathan Britto clinic to bring the best combinations of prescribed medication with “over-the-counter” products.

“Out” go hyper-expensive, over-marketed, but ineffective topicals and creams, and “In” come day-to-day efficiency, value for money, effective and medically evidenced products with proven results.

Karen’s expertise in business and beauty, and her natural advocacy for the aesthetic surgery patient made her a pioneer in the specialty of Medical Aesthetics, beginning in the Millennium year, and joining the team at the Jonathan Britto Clinic in 2019. She is a regular contributor to magazine articles, expert panels, and as a guest speaker and moderator in beauty trade shows and seminars. Karen’s background in beauty, Medical Aesthetics, and the advocacy of patients undergoing aesthetic surgery, make her a natural fit and an asset for patients at the Jonathan Britto Clinic.

Jonathan and his wonderful assistant Karen Sergeant are so welcoming, questions around procedures and outcomes answered fully and in great detail both verbally and in writing. Repeating yourself is also not a problem here ! There is such care and consideration both pre and postoperatively with a years follow up appointments sent to you in order that personal lives or work schedules can be organised well in advance.
