A complimentary four-week plan for all our surgical patients, it is integral to our surgical pathway, ensuring best health is achieved and maintained prior to, during and after surgery. It follows our unique philosophy and four-pronged approach for healthy longevity.

EAT ~ MOVE ~ REVIVE ~ SLEEP
The plan starts two weeks before surgery to prepare the body and optimise outcomes. For maximal recovery, the plan is continued for two weeks afterwards.
We aim to prepare the body for the inflammatory response associated with surgery, so this is optimised to achieve rapid recovery without causing damage and avoiding infection. The plan also ensures the stress response mounted is appropriate, minimising water retention, fatigue and disrupted sleep. Integral to our approach is movement which reduces blood clots and chest infections in the period following your surgery.
The EAT limb of our four-pronged approach both resets the gut microbiome and replenishes nutrients ensuring sufficient protein intake and a balanced inflammatory axis.
Activities prescribed in MOVE ensure a functioning cardiovascular system and mental wellbeing.The latter is enhanced further with a bespoke REVIVE plan and attention to SLEEP.
At the Jonathan Britto clinic, we realise that simply identifying the stressors around surgery and prescribing the interventions is not enough. These changes have to be effected and maintained in the face of busy lives, multiple commitments and social & environmental temptations.
The Lifestyle Medicine Physician at the Jonathan Britto clinic is at hand to provide a personalised programme and help our clients adhere to the Prepare & Repair plan, effecting and maintaining the prescribed lifestyle changes before surgery and in the recovery phase.
Dr Shyamala Moganasundram, provides individual coaching sessions to help clients through this four-week plan. Coaching is preceded by a consultation three weeks prior to surgery which will include a pre-consultation questionnaire and a medically guided lifestyle assessment. Based on this Shyamala creates personalised bespoke programmes for the individual. The coaching programme includes a diet sheet, menus and recipes, exercise guidance and follow-up as required.
Two levels of coached programmes are available, PREMIUM and PLATINUM, in addition to the complimentary, non-coached ESSENTIAL plan.
